Many thanks to Domino Printing Sciences for hosting our May CLUG meeting ... we had another good turn out and the cookies were excellent!  Phill Tadman (Mass Consultants) kicked the presentations off with an interesting and humerous look at separating the GUI from the rest of the LabVIEW code.  This was very well received and several attendees were already starting to plan how they could modify their code to take advantage of this architecture.

Ben Scarrow (Domino) then talked about some of their test architectures and explained how they have used LabVIEW to help them increase productivity and code re-use between different departments.  Richard Thomas (PTP) then presented some great nuggets of advice about how to build user friendly User Interfaces, including how to create simple but snazy icons for your application.  This was then followed with a Smartphone-like GUI which was demonstrated by Peter Horn (NI).  Jakub Czaplicki then rounded off the presentations with a look at how he is using graphical databases in his work at Polatis and how he is interfacing between the database and LabVIEW.

Discussion was lively and involved throughout the afternoon with lots of excellent ideas, comments and questions flowing freely.  The Domino "Demo Room" was also open so that attendees could take a look at the Domino product range and gain a better understanding of the work they are doing.

The date for the nest meeting has not yet been fixed but will be some time in the Autumn and we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
