Is it possible for users of this forum to contact each other directly via a PM or hosted webmail function ?

It is now! When you have logged in, click on the Messages link in the User Menu to go to the Personal Message area.

Thanks for setting this up - this is a valuable facility that will allow the members to act as a truly independent community.

Given our commitments under NDA's etc can I just confirm that these messages are truly private and will not go to anyone else but the intended recipient(s).

We hope indeed that the User Group will grow to be a local community and a valuable resource.

Whilst we will take all reasonable care to keep personal messages private, the PM system is not currently a secure messaging system and we would not recommend its use for the exchange of sensitive information.

Whilst no computer system is perfectly secure it would be good for everyone to know at the start if these messages are viewed by representatives of PTP or National Instruments, as opposed to the genuinely public messages that are posted in the forums and which is in the public domain.

Please be assured that neither NI nor PTP are able to view the content of personal messages, so you can be as rude as you like
